NOTE: This is just a question. I am not challenging the ideas or beliefs of anyone. Would someone please clarify to me what a Mestizo is. I understand they are Latin American or Hispanic. What makes them different? I can’t find any definition of them being illegal immigrants or immigrants at all for that matter.The word itself literally means “mixed.” By original definition, it looks to mean of European (Spain) and Amerindian descent. If that is true then my confusion next lies within its context as used by most. How are we being overran by people that have been here at least as long as we have? Wendy, Mestizo is what we are callng people who are mixed – the predominant mixture being Amerindian and Spanish, but there can be some black admixture and other White kinds in the mix as well.
The reason we don’t call them Mexican is because there are White Mexicans – mostly Spanish Whites, but other European kinds as well.
