You mentioned the suicide of Dominique Venner in the cathedral at Notre Dame. You are misinformed, he did not do it to protest gay marriage, that is just the story the media is spinning. He was actually doing it for a much wider aspect, the destruction of French morality, society and culture by the mass immigration of North Africans. If you read his Blog, you’ll get a much better idea of his statement.
Holte, thanks for the info! I did assume that, what bothers me is the defeatist attitude of suicide instead of fighting! Although I suppose it could be conceived as an act of defiance.

Dominique Venner was not a catholic, he was a pagan, and chose a symbol of european civilisation to protest against gay marriage and massive immigration.
