15, maybe even 20 years ago, McCanney got his biggest regular hearing as a frequent guest on the show of Pastor Pete Peters. Here is an accurate biography of Peters from the SPLC, telling those with a functioning set of eyes how good a man Peters was: https://www.splcenter.org/hatewatch/2011/07/15/influential-christian-identity-pastor-dies I never had any sympathy with his CI beliefs, but I appreciated that Peters knew what religion was for, to bind a people and uplift it. McCanney must have known the general subject matter of Peters’s show, and was either sympathetic or willing to be friendly anyway. I like it either way. That’s all I know about McCanney.
